What is Hetalia?
   Axis Powers Hetalia is an online manga drawn and written by Hidekaz Himaruya, which recently has also been adapted into an animé. It follows various past historical events through personifying various countries/nations/principalities and telling the tale of their interactions. It is mainly a satire, and as such is not intended to be taken seriously. Those who take umbrage at the idea of countries being personified are reminded that the author of the series has stated they mean no insult and would rather not have any trouble caused.
